Before joining CEPR, he worked for a congressional campaign, the House of Representatives, and most recently a political advocacy non-profit. Brett focuses on research into progressive economic policy, inequality, democratic political reform, and international affairs in Latin America, the Middle East, and China. He writes frequently, and has had articles published in outlets such as The American Prospect and Current Affairs. Originally from North Carolina, Brett has a BA in Political Science and Public Policy from UNC Chapel Hill.
